⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful experience with Storyteller. Before our stay, they proactively informed us that a local festival would be taking place nearby and that it could result in significant noise. When we explained that we were looking for a quieter stay, they kindly assisted us with a cancellation and refund, even though the standard refund period had already passed. We truly appreciated their honesty, professionalism, and customer-first approach. Their transparency and willingness to help left a very positive impression on us. Highly recommended.

The vibe of the place is amazing! I will be recommending this place to everybody I know who is going to Sintra, this place feels like a home. The rooms were clean and cozy. |It was very close to landmarks in Sintra and Joana was very helpful with getting settled and planning. |Isabelle was great at keeping the place clean and serving breakfast. |This place was wonderful, the cast on property was so sweet as well.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They claim they are a 4 star hotel, but that is incredibly questionable to the point that I wonder if their good reviews are fake. First, their "reception" is just one woman who also cleans the rooms. She cannot speak English well nor can she speak Portuguese well. This is not her fault, she was really nice, but why is this hotel hiring one woman to do everything? Seems like they are taking advantage. I gave her my passport along with my husband's. She gave me back my passport and someone else's. I had to explain to her twice that she gave me the wrong passport. She said it is hot and she was busy cleaning and got confused. The hotel advertises made to order breakfast. Attached is the disgusting meal they provided to us. When I emailed them about it, I was told they make things fresh everyday, sorry that it doesn't meet your standards. Please tell me if this is the breakfast at a 4 star hotel you ever went to? Deli meat and cheese. Further, the coffee maker in the room didn't work so we had to get coffee next door at the cafe. Why did we have to have breakfast in the room? Because there was no other option. Apparently the breakfast dining area was dirty. We were not told this prior to getting here. We went out for the day and came back, the room was not cleaned. I have never been to a hotel that did not clean the rooms. This is outrageous. I would say it is barely a 1 star. If we wanted an air b and b we could have gotten one for much cheaper. I let them know the room was not cleaned and was told I should have put the sign on the door asking for the room to be cleaned. This is unheard of. Never has any hotel I've been too operated like this. Housekeeping would always knock if there was no sign up. Not once was I told I needed to put the sign up to have the room cleaned. This should have been told to me at check in or they should have had a sign in the room. Unprofessional and poor customer service. Another way for them to operate cleaply. Also, the hotel advertises parking. Another lie. The parking is the public lot across the street, not hotel parking so good luck trying to get a space. Further, the room would run out of hot water during the shower and the air conditioning advertised is a fan Anyway, do not stay here. Not worth your time or money.

I didn't actually stay there but my daughter and out friends did. This is the cutest place on ever seen, and plentiful parking unless you arrive in the early morning to go to the palace.

After booking this place, we never got a confirmation email - and yes I checked my junk mail - we contacted them on messenger they said they had no reservation under our name, so we booked a different hotel. They later told us they had our reservation and refused to refund us. I would avoid this place.

The place is charming, we liked it . The location is really nice when you visit the Pena palace and moorish castle, as it is just a walking distance fron the villa. For goinf to Sintra you would need a car. As well as for any grocery shopping or just having a cofee as it is nothingvreallybaround. Being a family of four (2 adults and two teenage kids) the villa felt tiny with very little space to move inside the apartment. Especially when you have a few pcs of luggage. The owner did invite us to the shared sitting area outside where there are tables and kitchenette, but it felt a bit unmanageable for us with all the food and plates we need to bring with us. Wifi is week. A good choice for one night if you travel light and have a car.

We were not advised prior to arrival there was a annual festive directly opposite the complex. This was extremely noisy until tge early hours of the morning.

We really enjoyed staying here. The staff and cat were very friendly and helpful. Our room had 2 bedrooms which was perfect for 3 adults and a toddler. The apartment was very clean with a good kitchen for cooking, reheating and storing food. The furniture was comfortable, beds were firm but not uncomfortable. The location was perfect for us. The hop on bus was across the plaza and historical Sintra was about a 25 minute walk. There is also a BP station about a 10 minute walk with a small grocery store. We would highly recommend you stay here.
