Comma Hotel Seomyeon

The best time to visit Busan is May, June, September, and October, when temperatures are mild and rain is moderate. July and August are the hottest and rainiest months, with high humidity and frequent showers. Winter months from December to February are dry and cool, with fewer rain days, making them a good choice if you prefer crisp weather. Spring and autumn offer the most comfortable conditions for exploring the city.

Haeundae suits beach lovers and first-timers, with the beach, Dongbaek Island, and hotels like Park Hyatt Busan and The Westin Josun Busan. Seomyeon is the central hub for transport and shopping, with Avani Central Busan nearby. Nampo-dong puts you close to Jagalchi Market, BIFF Square, and Busan Tower, with Lavalse Hotel and Stanford hotel Busan as options. Gijang is quieter and more coastal, home to Ananti at Busan Cove.

Start at Gamcheon Culture Village for its colorful hillside houses and art alleys. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is a striking seaside temple with ocean views. Jagalchi Market is Korea's largest fish market, lively and authentic. BIFF Square is the heart of the film festival district, great for street food. Songdo Bay Station offers a cable car ride over the sea.

The full-day tours from Busan go to Gyeongju, the ancient capital of the Silla kingdom, known for its UNESCO-listed tombs, temples, and historic sites. If you prefer to stay closer, well-known day trips include the coastal city of Ulsan, with its Daewangam Park and whale-watching, and the scenic Geoje Island, famous for its beaches and the Oedo Botania. These are all easy to reach by public transport or organized tours.

Plan 3 to 4 days for Busan. In 3 days, you can see Gamcheon Culture Village, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Jagalchi Market, BIFF Square, and Busan Tower. Add a fourth day for a day trip to Gyeongju, which needs an extra day. If you want to include Songdo Cable Car or Oryukdo Skywalk, a 4th day in the city helps.
