This is our very favorite place to stay in Maastricht! We love the suite with shower in the carriage house. It’s always extremely clean. Has a separate toilet room. Large shower. Sitting area with small couch and table for two where you can eat your breakfast. The bed is super comfortable and the room is very sound-proofed. The mini bar includes chocolate, chips, coffee/tea and lots of complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic cold drinks. We always enjoy the delicious picnic basket breakfast that they bring to your room— more than two people can eat! The castle/hotel grounds are beautiful with areas to walk and trails nearby for walks/runs. Highly recommended!

The location is stunning. A small island in the river. The room was big and clean. The furnitures stylish and functional. Everything worked as expected. The services was excellent. They served a full breakfast to the room in a basked. Just great. Our dog was also welcome and got some treats as a start. They have plenty of parking lots and you can charge the EV.

Attended the location as part of a wedding party, so I can only comment on the catering and the facilities, not the hotel part. So what's there to notice?|The good: great staff, great preparation for the dinner and the wedding ceremony. They knew in advance who had dietary wishes or needs and they ran if perfectly. Kuddos to the man who was in charge. The not so good: cooking for 100 people is very very difficult and unfortunatly it showed in some of the courses. Some of it was...well, not very good. Still, great wedding, good times, good location!

One of my daughters chose this location for her wedding. This location and more importantly the team is awesome. I'm not giving top ratings easily. They deserve it! They are professionals. They take everything out of your hands. They pay exceptional attention to detail. They make everyone feel comfortable while working diligently in the background. I highly recommend Kasteel de Hoogenweerth with its wonderful team for weddings. They make the magic happen!

So to start with, we enjoyed our stay.. but, it was mostly a big laugh. Stayed in the Eve room next to the reception. Initially looks nice but it misses all basic functionality. There's basically no way to shower, there's a bath in the room, if you stand there you splash everything wet in the whole room. Sitting is virtually impossible to shower. Sink does basically leak water into all directions, again wetting the floor. TV is so low you can hardly see half the screen being in the bed. Lights lacking, making a lot of dark corners, or you have to open all the curtains and then everyone can watch into your room, especially since next to the reception. Staff being very friendly if you can find them. It seemed one lovely young girl had to do everything there. So when not at the reception you have to call them, which then makes the phone ring in the reception after being forwarded to a voicemail which asks to leave a message, after that informing the storage is full so it can't save the message. 😂 Anyway. Had a good laugh and stay, thanks for the service but this room needs attention.

A really lovely place - we had a very luxurious studio and really enjoyed staying there. Great attention to details ~ it had everything we wanted for a very comfortable stay. Exceptionally comfy bed. The grounds are divine right on the river and the location perfect. We got a taxi in to Maastricht for 15 euros and walked back along the river - very nice location but don’t walk unless you enjoy walking. It’s 45 mins. You can hire bikes too. We had a lovely champagne breakfast delivered to the room and it was so huge we made lunch from it too. Would most happily return for longer next time ~ it was perfect. Oh great parking and staff too! Thanks for a lovely stay. The free minibar was a nice touch.

Where can I eat near Landgoed Kasteel de Hoogenweerth?

For dining, the hotel's own SOFA brasserie, bar, and restaurant offers a full range from lunch to multi-course dinners, with a terrace for warmer days. In Maastricht's center, about a 2.5 km walk to Stadspark, you'll find Cafe Sjiek for French-Belgian cuisine, Harry's for French-inspired dishes, and Cafe Zondag for casual meals and drinks. For coffee and light Italian-inspired bites, Coffeelovers has locations in the city. Mr. Smith is a cocktail bar in the Rechtstraat, and Rumors is a bar and kitchen in the Jekerkwartier. Aon 't Bat in Eijsden is another option for lunch or à la carte dining.

The nearest airport is about 20 km away, so a pre-booked transfer or taxi is the most direct way to reach the castle.
