This is by far the best hotel we have stayed at in China. It beats the international chains (we stayed at a IHG and Radisson on this trip). The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the staff are very friendly and helpful. This is one hotel where smoking is strictly prohibited so you will not find smokers in the lobby or corridors to the rooms (like we did at other hotels).

Jinbao hotel is one of the best hotel in Xiamen island. They offer very good room service. Although everything is very good but they offer same meal again and again. Apart from that their behaviour, staff resonse and arrangement all is top class.

(Translated by Google) The food was quite good, the local snacks were decent, and there were many specialty dishes, with a relatively wide variety of breakfast options. It's located near some government offices, making it quite centrally located; customs, health inspection, and commodity inspection are all nearby, so transportation is convenient and the location is good. The rooms were quite large and comfortable, with complete facilities, including a refrigerator and air conditioning. The first floor is the hotel lobby, the second floor is the restaurant, and the upper floors are for accommodation. The service staff were quite good, and the cleanliness was excellent; the floor we stayed on was very clean.

(Translated by Google) The hotel is located by the roadside and feels rather old overall. The facilities are quite dated, and the decor is also rather worn. The bedding is also old. There's no computer in the room, and the TV is a desktop model. The staff's service attitude is not very good. The hotel offers breakfast, a buffet style, but the selection is limited. The lobby is quite large and has areas for guests to relax. Cleanliness isn't very good. The elevator is also old.

(Translated by Google) The receptionist was polite, and the security was adequate (room key required for luggage storage and elevator access). Breakfast offered a wide selection, including authentic local dishes and freshly made soy milk. Guests were encouraged to collect their own dishes after eating, as the tables were consistently kept clean and usable. The room was spacious with an open view. I stayed in a deluxe standard room, which had a large independent desk, coffee table, and a two-seater sofa, effectively separating the sleeping and living areas. A tea tray was provided for making tea, a thoughtful touch. The mattress wasn't too soft, leaning towards firm, but still comfortable. The TV came with a set-top box, offering over 70 domestic channels. The bathroom is a good size, and the overhead shower has good water pressure, but the water temperature might be too hot, so be careful. Towels can be placed in the shower area and dried inside after rinsing. It's a 20-minute walk from the pier to Gulangyu Island, but the path is straight and easy to walk. It's recommended to use the zebra crossing opposite the hotel to cross the pedestrian walkway; otherwise, if you walk forward from the hotel, there's only a pedestrian bridge to the other side, and you'll need to take the stairs. A taxi will cost about 10-12 RMB and take 3-5 minutes from the hotel to the pier. There are many shops nearby, including local restaurants catering to all budgets, supermarkets, fruit shops, and general stores. The bus stop is also only 3-5 minutes from the hotel, making it very convenient.

(Translated by Google) It's relatively okay, though the price is a bit high. Checking out was a bit troublesome and slow. Check-out took over ten minutes, which felt a bit long. Check-in was fine, but it was a little slow last time because a friend didn't have their ID. Normally it should be fine. The front desk staff were okay, but check-out was troublesome and the room check took quite a while. The room had a double bed, a 29-inch LCD TV, air conditioning, a small refrigerator, and floor-length curtains. It's not very convenient for going out; it takes about ten minutes by car to get to the beach. The sea there isn't very beautiful. It's quite far to Gulangyu Island.
