No elevator, narrow steep stairs. Cute rooms, surprisingly large refrigerator and a dishwasher. Kitchen stocked better than other places we've stayed. Bed seems comfortable, good linens. Good location, close to the main street running down to the river.

Elegant and freshly updated studio that exceeded our expectations during our short stay in Coimbra. Front desk was very helpful with our luggage due to the stairs. Grateful.

We had the Deluxe Studio and as soon as we arrived we could see how immaculate it was. Bright, beautifully decorated, clean, perfect size for a short stay, fridge/freezer a huge bonus, good size bathroom, table and chairs good for eating and playing cards, nice balcony view to the outside, easy to find and excellent owner - thank you Ricardo for a perfect stay.

Fantastic location, right in the centre of the old town.|Very comfortable modern apartment, with all modern conveniences, including Nespresso machine and washing/drying machine; three-minute walk to big supermarket.|Staff were on-site, and were incredibly friendly and helpful.|A three-story building without a lift, so if mobility is an issue, you might like to request an apartment on a lower floor. However, having said this, this 81-year old managed fine on the third floor. |We highly recommend this property.

My stay at Sophie Studios was fantastic. Ricardo and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Ricardo recommended some of the best places to eat and see the city. I had the king studio with a nice view on the 2nd floor. The studio was very clean and spacious, with a nice size bathroom with excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. And comfortable bed with plenty of pillows supplied. While I didn't use it, the kitchen was equipped with both a two burner stove and a dishwasher. Plus all equipped with cooking pots, dishes, and plenty of mugs and glasses for drinking. The TV only had 5 channels, but honestly, you'll spend all your time on the city, so that wasn't a big deal at all. The place is perfectly located so that you can explore easily but it's still quiet at night. I would highly recommend staying here and will be on my future trips to Coimbra.

During our Portugal trip visited also Coimbra. Stayed one night but that was too short. Friendly helpfull host. Clean and nice studio from which the town can be walking visited. The room was very complete. The most wonderful attraction in the city is the library of the university, never seen before, very interesting.
