The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is very old and overpriced for what it offers. There is no gym, no room service, and even some basic amenities are missing from the rooms. Therefore, I would not recommend staying here if you are looking for a comfortable hotel experience and want to enjoy the facilities and atmosphere that a hotel should provide.

A decent budget hotel approximately 30 minutes walk from the town centre. You will struggle to find somewhere closer - we looked at lots of sites. The hotel is quite pleasant. The rooms did smell of smoke when we checked in but after the first day it seemed to subside. Staff were all very helpful.

This is a basic hotel conveniently close to the AP7. Rooms are OK, and staff are helpful and polite. The restaurant is fine for breakfast, but perhaps there are other options nearby that would be better for evening meal. We paid for the full hot buffet. My wife had a plate of spaghetti and cabonara sauce. She said it tasted fine, but it was stone cold. What kitchen fails to heat up the "hot" food? Perhaps more care is needed in the kitchen.....

Please do not book this hotel!!! The room stank of smoke. It was small old and not very clean. The hallway smelled awful aswell. The hotel needs to be closed and renovated. The buffet was awful also and if it had of been cooler weather, we would have slept in the car!

Arrived in the early hours and the kind receptionist gave us a large bottle of water.Breakfast was great. Lovely melon, bread, meat, cheese. The only negative was the bar wouldn't let us take glasses into our room for our wine. They offered to sell us paper cups. We thought this was poor.

Have had good experiences of IBIS as a membership holder throughout . Parking is a first come first served free war zone or pay extra ( why IBIS never include this is annoying ) |It’s tired needs a coat of paint and a root and branch spruce up .and that includes the staff especially the stroppy little madam who appears to think she runs things and staff happily insulting guests when they think they cant hear or understand.. However good facilities nearby and easy to get there. |Just needs someone to take a grip.

Good value stay that met expectations. A little far out of town (c25 mins walk to the main centre), but a fair trade off given the price, convenience and quiet location. I would recommend to the budget conscious traveller.

I booked Ibis Girona on 6th September while traveling with my dog, because the hotel shows that pets are accepted. Before arriving, I asked if late check-in after midnight was possible and if I could bring my dog. I never received an answer. When I tried to call the phone number provided, it was invalid. Later I discovered that they disable their phone at night, which makes it impossible to reach the hotel in case of problems. This is unacceptable for travelers arriving late. Since I could not confirm if I would even be able to check in, I requested a cancellation. It was refused twice, with only one of my questions partially answered. In the end, I had to book another hotel in France to make sure I had somewhere to stay. I never used my booking in Girona, but they still charged me. Very disappointing experience: no reliable contact, no proper customer service, and no flexibility. I cannot recommend this hotel.
